For the second year in a row the Wesco/Mahopac roller hockey 14u team won the Nutmeg Games Championship by defeating the Connecticut Blaze team 5-2.  Coach Buckley said he was very proud of the players and this is a big thing for a New York State team to win the Nutmeg Games.  Coach Buckley said, “The Nutmeg Games are equal to the NYS Empire State Games and now the Wesco/Mahopac team are Connecticut State Champions”

Coach Jaime Latasa's Mahopac 18 & Under team won the Ice Time Memorial Day Tournament on Saturday, May 31, 2008 in Newburgh, NY. In the Championship game, R. Fitchett had 6 goals, C. Fitchett had a goal and 2 assists, D. Guilmette had 2 goals and 2 assists, T. Latasa added a goal, L. Batista and D. Savizky each had an assist.
